Events
A similar one for various cognitive science colloquia and other lectures is located here.
Conference
We're hosting the Midwestern Undergraduate Cognitive Science Conference on April 4th-5th. Submit a paper or a poster, or give a talk!
Callout Meeting
Free Aver's Pizza at the first SOCS meeting of the year. Meet folks, help decide on future events, and talk shop with cognitive scientists in the University Club of the IMU.
Movie Nights
Hang out, watch a cogsciy movie, and eat pizza. If there's a particular movie you'd like to see, tell us about it and it might show up on the calendar. More details on time and place will be coming soon.
Professor Dinners
Every other Thursday, SOCS hosts a professor to talk with students over a meal. Up to eight students are free to pick the brains of the professor, not only about his or her research, but anything cognitive sciencey. Send Jeff an email to reserve a seat for one of these informal discussions.
Discussions
Discussion groups are informal meetings of undergraduates about a cognitive science related topic. Most of these discussion groups will have a short, optional reading to go along with it, which will be available on the website as soon as we get a hold of them. Below is a list of the topics we decided on and their respective dates. These dates are still a little flexible, so if you know of a topic-related speaker/event on a different date, we can move a discussion group to take advantage of that fact. More details on time and place will be coming soon.
